Recovering from best weekend ever

I am so tired, I can't believe I am at work and pretending to function.

I will write more on the topic of my Melbourne holiday in the next few posts (so much that you will quickly get sick of it) but here is a rundown of our jaunts:

Thursday
- Fly in
- Stupid taxi driver who wouldn't help us put suitcases in the boot
- getting excited and running around taking photos of street art until my camera battery dies and it's 1:30 in the morning

Friday
- Figured out how to use trams
- Went to Brunswick St and did shitloads of shopping (bought the jacket and a dress)
- Went shopping around city
- Made this post
- More shopping around city, including red chinese flats and shorts
- Discovered BEST PHOTOBOOTHS EVER outside Flinders St station
- Came back to hotel room, died, then got ready to go out for dinner at...
- Manchester Lane, with a crowd of old people, live soul band, crappy crappy service but great food and hilarious gross couples mounting each other on the dance floor
- Cookie
- St Jeromes, which is scary and dirty and hilarious all in one
- Manchuria
- finding everything else closed, then going back to Cookie to pee, then McDonalds

Saturday
- HUNGOVER
- Getting on the wrong tram and ending up in Port Melbourne, still hungover
- Going to St Kilda (right tram)
- Luna Park ghost train and little rollercoaster with 5 year olds
- Trampoline gelato
- Buying best jeans ever at Rogues
- Rose St Markets, with watermelon brooch. So cute!
- Nanna nap
- Dinner at Bebida in Fitzroy, possibly the cutest garden restaurant ever
- Narrowly avoiding a pub fight walking to Brunswick St
- Wankers and ugly people at Polly's
- First Floor, possibly best club EVER
- Suddenly getting immensely drunk
- Stupid taxi driver that didn't know where Chinatown was
- Losing my shoe in the taxi
- Getting into a fight with the bar bitch at the Croft Institute
- Incredibly drunk photos at Double Happiness, or whatever is below it
- Door jerks outside Honky Tonks demanding we pay $10 each for shit they couldn't even describe. Fuck that.
- Horrible people outside Pony. Blegh.
- More hungry jacks
- Drunk photos outside Flinders St station

Sunday
- WORSE HANGOVER
- Bad "I can't fit this all in!" packing
- Guggenheim exhibition
- Buying fantabulous weekend bag that looks like giant boombox
- Staggering around Southbank in the hot mexican sun
- Riding the giant Ferris wheel which was really cool
- Staggering around city
- Fly home with 2 shitty dinners
- Slowly unpacking and watching Something's Gotta Give and generally feeling hungover and horrible

YAY HOLIDAY! It was really good. I am revitalised and enthusiastic and coming up with more plans for more more more.
